Florida Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation program is unique in Central Florida, offering a full continuum of rehabilitation services to patients and healthcare providers. With 30 inpatient rehabilitation beds, we offer round the clock care with a specialized rehabilitation nursing team, intensive rehabilitative therapies and regular rounds by physiatrists. Here an interdisciplinary team provides patients with compassionate, comprehensive and state-of-the-art rehabilitation that ensures quality outcomes and promotes prevention.
Florida Hospital Rehabilitation has a long history of expertise in Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Orthopedic, Amputee and Neurological conditions.
For our patients care begins before arrival. While patients are still in the hospital our specially trained healthcare professionals perform a comprehensive evaluation and answer questions to help prepare patients for admittance to Florida Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation.
Once a patient is admitted, they have direct access to our unique team of rehabilitation experts. This treatment team includes therapists of several disciplines, rehabilitation nurses, neuro-psychologists and our highly qualified board-certified physiatrists, who are medical doctors specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Family is also an important part of recovery, so everyone from spouses to siblings is a part of the care team. Each patient and team discuss and develop individualized goals to ensure everyone is working together towards a maximum level of independence. This inclusive approach allows for a supportive, encouraging and a positive beginning to recovery.
Florida Hospital Rehabilitation has been awarded the distinguished three-year CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation.
